Short Film Friday #16 – Table 7

At first I thought «oh no not another couple-at-a-restaurant-film», but this was rather clever.

Watch it here.

Short Film Friday #15 – Work

This is both sad and cute at the same time.  Great voice acting.

I want moon shoes.

Short Film Friday #14 – Crater Face

I haven’t been posting any new shorts for some time, simply because I haven’t come across anything interesting. Until now. Crater Face is an animated short with tons of energy and a brilliant soundtrack. Check it out.

Short Film Friday #12 – This Thing Will Blow Your Mind

It’s been a while since my last Short Film Friday post. I just didn’t come across anything new and interesting. Until now.

@rgangstad tweeted about this short some days ago, and it blew my mind. It’s called Nuit Blanche and «explores a fleeting moment between two strangers, revealing their brief connection in a hyper real fantasy.»

If you like it you should also take a look at the making of. Unbelievable.

Short Film Friday #10 – «Du Ritar Fult»

This week’s short is Swedish, and sadly without subtitles. Sorry!

Kom tilfeldigvis over denne svenske kortfilmen ein dag. Velspelt og fint fotografert. Og ikkje minst har dei gjort ein veldig god jobb på lydsida. Den blyantlyden kryper under huden!

Frå YouTube: «Alexander dödade en kille när han var sju år. Pierre, en klasskompis.»

Short Film Friday #9 – The Bloody Olive

It’s Christmas!

So this weeks short is Vincent Bal’s Christmas film noir spoof  The Bloody Olive. Hopefully I am not spoiling anything when I say that this film has a twist.

Short Film Friday #8 – Two Cars, One Night

A lovely short from New Zealand. From the YouTube description:

«While waiting for their parents, two boys and a girl meet in the carpark of a rural New Zealand pub. What at first seems to be a relationship based on rivalry soon develops into a close friendship as we learn that love can be found in the most unlikely of places. Nominated for the 2005 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short.»
