Erling og Bernt prøver Gangsta-Rap

Kva gjer ein film- og tv-student når han har litt tid til overs? Jo han klipper gamle Erling & Bernt episodar saman med M.O.P.’s låt Ante Up. Resultatet kan du sjå her:

A song for each day of the week

For most people – including musicians – every day of the week comes with its own unique feeling. Here is a collection of songs –  one for each day – together summing up the week in their own special little way.

Manic Monday – The Bangles

Nobody likes mondays, but this little song might just be enough to turn the whole day around. Written by Prince, this Bangles hit never made it to the top of the charts, but has been an anthem for all monday-haters ever since its release in 1986.

Love You Till Tuesday – David Bowie

Released in 1967 this is more or less a song a song about stalking, but honestly, who doesn’t spend their Tuesdays «hiding in the apple tree, clinging to a branch»?

And even though the record almost drowned in the success of The Beatles» Sgt. Pepper-album, David’s hairstyle still inspired a whole line of childrens toys, and that’s not bad for a song about the second day of the week, is it?

Wednesday Morning, 3 AM by Simon And Garfunkel

Wednesday, a bit better than monday, but still so far away from the weekend. «It’s like a scene badly written in which we must play» or something like that. A day of nothing, just there to make the weekend feel so much better when it finally arrives.

Simon and Garfunkel’s song is perfect for this day in it’s quiet «I’m here, but I ain’t making a big fuzz about it»-kind of way.

Of course the album by the same name initially flopped, once and for all proving that Wednesdays aren’t really nothing to hang on to.

Jersey Thursday – Donovan

Thursday is a good day, but it doesn’t really have any feeling, does it? Who ever walks around talking about that special Thursday feeling? No one, least of all musicians. They’re always going on about Friday and Saturday, even Sunday, but no one ever stops to give old Thursday what she deserves.

Donovans song Jersey Thursday is from his second album Fairytale, released in 1965. The song is not really about the good old non-excisting feeling of Thursday, but Thursday isn’t in any position to be picky, so Thursday basically takes whatever she can get.

Friday I’m In Love – The Cure

Robert Smith knows the days of the week and he is not afraid to say so. Day by day he guides us through the week, ending up on his favorite: Friday. The song is the second single from the album Wish, released in 1992, and is in both melody and lyrics true to the spirit of what Friday is all about.

Friday is the start of the weekend, and this song really puts you in the mood you need to be for two days of doing absolutely what you want.

Saturday – Ludacris

It’s Saturday, and you have your pockets full of cash – well maybe not full, but let’s not let your minimum payment job ruin your pleasure – ready to hit the town with all those crazy John Travolta  Saturday Night Fever dance moves you by your fifth beer know so well.

Of course you’re probably so dead tired after a hard working week that you end up back home by eleven falling asleep to reruns of Walker Texas Ranger, with a half-eaten Big Mac on your chest – but let’s not let that ruin your night either. It’s the feeling of Saturday that counts, not what you actually do with it, and this song really sums up the spirit of this great day.

Sunday, Bloody Sunday – U2

We finally made it to Sunday. Lying hungover in your bed you now have the time to reflect on the big questions of life. Why are we here? Is there a God? Why is there so much suffering in this world? Who is this girl lying next to me, and why doesn’t she have any teeth?

U2 sums it all up with this important political message:

Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday

How long…
How long must we sing this song?

We sing it untill Monday comes, and then we start all over again.

Filmhistoriens verste voldsscener

«Knyttnever som treffer ansikter, støvler som sparkes hardt i mager og kniver som kutter av kroppsdeler. Vold har både sjokkert og frydet, og derfor også vært elsket og hatet på film. Her trekker vi frem ti voldsscener som definitivt fortjener en titt.»

Kulturo kåra for ei tid tilbake dei verste voldscenene i filmhistorien. Mine bidrag var Misery og American History-X. Ta ein titt på lista her.

La alle avsnitta av filmrullen ut på youtube forleden dag. Ta ein titt her for å sjå resten.

Filmtrailerens historie

«Den 8. mai gikk filmtrailerens svar på Oscar-utdelingen, The Golden Trailer Awards, av stabelen i Los Angeles, og det ble delt ut priser for alt fra beste komedietrailer, til den mest originale. «I Am Legend» ble den store vinneren da den stakk av med både trofeet for beste horrortrailer, og prisen for beste lyd-klipp, mens «Awake» fikk den tvilsomme æren av å bli hedret med prisen for beste trailer til en dårlig film….»
